 Finished simple walnut/sterling silver ring...nice, dirt under my nails...

 Walnut/sterling earrings, almost done...think maybe another necklace than done with the walnut series...yeah...

I only have to get bout, oh, 25 or so pieces done by the 1st for the Brookside, I'm moving along....getting stuff done....after a day full in the studio it was off to Dish for a night filled of hanging with Sassiest Sass Keith, talking bout peeing yourself, love people like that....

Plus I like to watch him work while I word hard at annoying him....

Think I pissed off a car on my ride home, but I don't care, it was a long day and I am ready to chill....

India getting ready for her first day of camp...ahhh...they grow up so fast...can't wait til she comes home, she's gonna be pooped and we're gonna be happy...

Well since it's Wednesday, my riding day, I'm gonna work this am then head off to branched out for some lap time....

Speaking of India, she has her first interview at Camp Bow Wow on Wednesday...we have a hard time finding someone to take care of her while we are on trips that she can't come along...so we are going to try Camp Bow Wow...if you've ever meet India you know she has a lot of energy so she needs a lot of exercise and that's why she's such a great trail dog...at Camp Bow Wow they give them 7 1/2 hours a day of play time....NICE!!!  

She was pooped after a lap at Branched Oak on Saturday and so was I, this cold kicked my butt this weekend...no morel hunting or bike riding and slow moving in the studio...but did get a little work done....

Finished brooch...I really dig the back....

Walnut earrings in the works...will be done today...

Finished the day off with a little stoop time with CVO (who is feeling better but still moving slow) and India....Was a nice way to spend Zombie Jesus day...Oh and thanks CVO for the wine, flowers and dinner...ahhhmazing....

On the Dish front, nothing much, busy night last night but I'm really excited bout our new egg slicer...so is Josh....

MMMMMMorels...MMMMM

Since I have been working so hard the last couple of months, kickstarter is funded (thank you) and CVO was having an outpatient procedure done to the boys in the afternoon...I decided to wake Thursday morning at the crack of dawn and spend the morning doing one of the most fun (if not the only) things to do in the spring...Morel hunting...

 I drove to the location where I hunt (no I will not tell you) wishing I had time to ride out on this amazing morning and get in some gravel but didn't have time, only 4 hours to hunt and counting....

Ahhhhmazing...what a perfect spring morning, alone in the woods morel hunting, so peaceful....oh and just so you all know I do carry bear mace and dikes with me in case you try and sneak up on me...may want to rethink that....

Bag is slowly filling up....here morels morels morels....

Brought some searching liquid to help...won't hurt....

We really need some rain, all the ones I found were good but were pretty dried out...nothing a lil butter won't take care of...

There is a reason that I've been hunting in the same spot for 20+ years, thanks Pops for showing me how to hunt and where....fun times...

CVO getting ready, texting back that he won't be riding tonight or for bout 7 days...gotta give the boys rest after getting snipped...but you know what makes you recover faster.....

That's right, freshly caught morels sauteed with butter and garlic....

NY Streak topped with morels with a side of cauliflower puree and sauteed spinach...now that's a meal....


My day was exactly what I needed after a crazy few months and a crazy few coming up....hope that you might go out and hunt some morels yourself...it's just like hunting snipes...

I don't think too many people are bad ass but one that tops the list, Tank Girl....she's probably the baddest ass, that's why today's theme is fitting....

My kickstarter project has been super awesome....but it's at a bit of a stand still...I have 43 backers, raised over $2500 (my goal) but you can still contribute, there are some rad rewards left but you only have 15 days...so get on it...

Yesterday was a day full of computer work, packaging and then I got some sketch time in...I have so much work to get done....first show of the season is may 4-6th in Kansas City, Brookside....

Saturday and Sunday....

This weekend was full of accomplishing goals....One of those was my kickstarter project, we reached my goal....a very special thank you to all my backers from this weekend....Couldn't have happened with out you all...Now that I have reached my goal, the extra funds that I collect will be going towards buys supplies of the show...such as boxes, tissue paper, business cards, updated signage for my booth and ect...the the money will be put into Casey Sheppard Designs....

I know that I didn't update every one yesterday and thats cause I was busy accomplishing another goal...my first MTB (mountain bike) race at Swanson Park....

Pre race jitters for this newbie, I found comfort in my trucker hat...

New All Hail The Black Market kit from Stevil...it was 90+ degress on April 1st...I wish I was fooling...so the sleeve had to be ripped off...too hot for this pasty white girl....

Trying to remember "I'd rather be forgotten than remembered for giving in..." Thanks Stevil....

CVO and I taking a beer break inbetween my 4/5 lap...I needed that...thanks luv....

Was an amazing time...my first MTB race at swanson...90+ degrees, 6 laps, 4 hours and 30 some minutes of saddle time (plus a few 1/2 hour beer breaks) placed 4th in womens and 26th out of 40 over all....hit one tree, had one crash and had an epic ride...

oh and my first number....ahhhh.....gained a ton of knowledge, a few new friends, confidence, bruises and a few more muscles...whens the next marathon????

End the night with a cider and a little Speed Racer....get to bed cause tomorrow is a busy day of studio time...good thing I'm gonna be too soar to bike...til then...thanks to all for helping me reach two kickass goals....
